04 along with the new Ubuntu Desktop Edition and the Ubuntu Netbook Remix. That’s great news for Linux fans but what I want to talk about today is why that’s also great news for business.

This Zulu word is used to describe the quintessence of humanity. There is not a translation in English but the basic resonation of this word is “I am because we are” or my survival is contingent on the survival of my brothers and sisters who trod this earth. The quintessence of life is interconnectedness. I am trying to approach this letter to its respective communities in love; however I honestly feel profound unrest.

With their small footprint smaller price and lack of moving parts the form factor does have a lot in common economically with a smartphone. Android has been designed for smartphones. HP’s flirtation with Android is especially surprising given all the work it has done adapting Ubuntu to its Netbook line.
